About rIStech Title

rIStech's Technology
rIStech's remote Interactive Support technology is a one-of-a-kind solution for technical support of thePicture automated workplace. Interactive Support (IS) is a patented technology that provides remote support of PC-based machine tools and other industrial equipment. Interactive Support is the only known remote support technology that enables simultaneous, real-time voice, video, data, and graphical collaboration, using means as simple as a single, standard phone line. Interactive Support utilizes a direct, modem-to-modem link that outperforms other so-called "internet solutions". This direct link provides full-time, full-duplex audio, true-color digital video, real-time data control, file transfers and software updates, and the ability to transmit and share documents, as well as mark, illustrate, and edit them.

rIStech's History
Remote Interactive Support technology was pioneered by Robert Warner and Brandon Zemlo as a proprietary technology for machine tools manufactured by Tree Machine Tool, Inc., then a subsidiary of Sierra Concepts. In 1999, Sierra Concepts merged with Robert E. Morris Company and Hartwig, Inc. to form Meritage (a $600 million supplier of machine tools, robotics, and metrology equipment) and established rIStech as a subsidiary. In February 2000, rIStech underwent a management buyout by Warner and Zemlo, who envisioned a broader role for IS-global technical support across automated equipment markets.
